Liquid Therapy is a charity based in South Donegal. It provides a range of programmes that connect young people to surfing, the beach and the ocean environment. As a part of Wainfest, families are invited to take part in their monthly beach clean; a walk along the shores and sand dunes of Rossnowlagh Beach collecting ‘3 for the Sea’ and experience the restorative benefits of spending family time in this amazing blue space!

Bundoran Community Library is holding a Lego workshop for kids. We know the importance of family time in the library, so why not join us for a Lego filled day of fun.

Enter into the Triwizard Tournament by challenging yourself to solve the Enchanted Maze and test your Harry Potter knowledge by completing the champion’s quiz. Finish off your magical day by popping into the Three Broomsticks to sample some Butterbeer or your favourite Cauldron Cake.

Participants will have the chance to design and personalise items using digital fabrication technologies including using the Laser Cutter and Vinyl Cutter.

There will be therapeutic benefits to this process as we sculpt your very own animal. Using eco-friendly materials we will design, build, sculpt and finally paint your creature of choice. Using bright acrylic colours, you will be amazed at the finished product. Don’t forget to give them a name!
Earth, Moon and Sun: This planetarium show explores the relationship between the Earth, Moon and Sun with the hope of Coyote, an amusing character adapted from Native American oral traditions who has many misconceptions about our home planet and its most familiar neighbours.
Dynamic Earth: This show explores the inner workings of Earth’s great life support system: the global climate. Audiences will ride along on swirling ocean and wind currents, dive into the heart of a monster hurricane, come face-to-face with sharks and gigantic whales and fly into
rolling volcanoes.
Enjoy an array of different sized colourful Lego and brick’s, have fun competing in challenges and games.

This workshop is an introduction to Bees and an opportunity to learn all about Bee anatomy. Participants will fill in a Bee Diagram then use this to decorate a biscuit with an anatomically correct Bee using icing. They can take this cookie home to eat.
Choose from over 10 different types of bears, join our staff on a journey to pick your bear and learn how to stuff it before deciding on a name.

As part of Wainfest 2023, the Award Winning Donegal Railway Museum will host a Family Fun Day on Thursday 12th October. There is plenty of family fun to be had, including Ireland’s first Interactive Steam Train Cab, model railways, games, as well as puzzles to solve and if the weather is good, a ride on Thomas The Tank. As an additional bonus, Kids Go FREE. No need to book.

Fit4You offers Primary PE to children from Junior Infants to 6th Class. Our sessions are fun, engaging and inclusive while providing the opportunity for children to understand how their
body moves.
Flipbooks are ideal for those interested in drawing and animation. You will learn how to use the basic principles of hand-drawn animation to make your own creations come to life. The workshop is a mixture of live demonstrations, easy-to-follow drawing guides, and practical hands-on creativity. All materials are provided.
Maia offers child-led sensory play/messy play classes. There is a variety of carefully selected, open-ended play materials and sensory bases that the children can explore during their time at a Maia class. Open-ended play means there is no right/wrong way to play with the resources, leaving it to the children’s imagination.This is a fantastic opportunity for some additional bonding and fun with your little ones. The parent/guardian stays and gets to join in the sensory experience too.
Treat yourself and your little ones to a free family lunchtime concert as part of the 7th Donegal Chamber Music Festival. Popular classical works and music from Disney movies, performed by the talented young musicians of the Donegal Music Education Partnership. It will delight and stimulate the senses! "Use That Light" - GMC Beats had great craic working with a very talented group of young people in Letterkenny to create this song and video about inspiration in a couple of hours in May. We had an amazing storytelling workshop in the run to to Cruinniú with young people aged 12–18 from ethnic minority backgrounds, including young people living in Direct Provision and young people from the Irish community. Check it out. Full details in the YouTube description.
